Material (subsitute: aluminum, asphaut, rubber, fuel, glass, acrylic, insulation, lumber,labor, and so on) prices have been on the rise and XXXXXXXXX company has held off as long as we could in reflecting that increase in our prices to you. Unfortunately, all indicators suggest that raw materials and other costs shall remain at an elevated level for the forseeable future.
Effective X date, we will implement a price increase. Your current pricing will increase by XX percent. Additionally, we will be unable to honor the price protection time periods we have offered in the past. Pricing will be honored for shipments released to ship immediately or within 30 days. Prior project quotes will be honored for 30 days following the April 15th cutoff. Purchase orders received following April 15th will be subject to a price increase.
Please be aware that generally, we are operating at an extremely tight margin and there is no room to bend except in the case of larger projects.
